2001 ls1 motor price? i have a 2001 ls1 that came out of my 2001 nhra trans am. the reason i took the motor out was because it had low compression in the number 7 cylinder. the motor still ran but had low compression. it idled normal it is a complete motor has not been taken apart and was wondering what i could get for it. it has 125,000 miles on the motor. could i make more money parting it out or selling it whole? im thinking the only thing that is wrong is the rings.

I assume your just talking the motor and not complete with accessories? And it being a NHRA model doesn't matter, its still just a LS1. I would say if its just the motor between 3-6 hundred with the miles. I've seen fully working LS1's for around a grand.

okay thanks i was just wondering im tring to get some extra money for my rear end build. do you think i could make more money off it by breaking it dowm and selling parts individually and no accessories at all just the motor no intake i reused that.
