Exclamation 2000 FORMULA WS6 - $6500 with 85K miles, good deal??

2000 ws6 with manual trans, T-tops, 85k miles for $6500... ?

Good deal?

Looks like decent condition. Don't know much about these cars. Anything I should check. Easy way to verify it is what the guys is saying it is? Is it worth doing a compression check or are these cars pretty easy to tell if something is wrong with the motor?

That is a massive steal... Provided the title is clean and its actually a WS6 and doesn't need anything, I say jump on that asap.

Need many more details. No one can evaluate a car properly with that description.
You stated, "Don't know much about these cars. Anything I should check. Easy way to verify it is what the guys is saying it is?"
Before you spend thousands of dollars on a car you know very little about, please learn from the wealth of information here on this site. Read many applicable posts, and I mean many. Read all the 'stickies' and use the search function as much as possible. Knowledge is imperative. It's all here, free for the taking. No one here can sum up what you need in a few sentences.
If serious about this car after obtaining all the details, please post back with what we need to assist you. Otherwise we would just be guessing with no info, and that does you absolutely no good.

Info im looking for examples...

Check the rpo codes (where are they)? How do I check them?

Bluebook value on a 2000 ws6 is $XXXX - $XXXXX

Watch out for X in the transmission. If it shifts like X that means the X is going out. That's pretty common on that year.

Check in the engine bay for X. They always go out on that year and you can tell if its already been replaced.

RPO codes will be listed on a sticker on the driver's side door. It will tell you every option that car has. The only code you need to worry about is "WS6," which should be in the fourth row of codes near the end. If it is not there, it is not a WS6 and will be worth less. If for some reason you want to check all the codes, you can find what you are looking for with a simple search.

Book value on that car with a clean title is going to be around $9000.

Problem areas for these cars are the window motors, headlight door motors, and the dash pad likes to crack as well as the tops of the door panels. Other than that, check the fluids, tires, brakes, etc., and listen for anything strange sounding on cold start up and while driving/shifting. Hopefully it is a clean car and you are able to take advantage of a good deal. Good luck.
