What do you think its worth?
Hey all, i am in the process of buying a 98 z28 6 speed with a built tms forged 370. What do you all think its worth? Me and the seller already agreed on 8500. Is that too much? My cousin went and checked it out for me and went for a test ride. He said it drove fine and sounded really good and didnt hear any strange noises. He has alot of mechanical experience so i trust him.

Personally, I would not buy it. Do you think it has all those performance modifications and was gently driven? At $8500, you are over book value and in this market modifications add about zero to resale. For that price, you can get a much lower mileage LS1 car. For example, there was recently a one-owner 98 Z28 near me with 36,000 miles with an asking price of $8500.

IMO its really not clean enough for 8500. Needs retinting. The rearend will be a ticking time bomb with that much power. For that much and a bit more you could get more car.

It all comes down to what you are happy with. Knowing that the car is priced way over book value and that you will not get your money back, if that is the car you want, then jump on it. I am simply saying there are better deals to be had for that price.
