Default What is my 1SC 1SZ 2000 Z28 worth?

I have a 2000 Z28 that I was questioned about last night. The guy was essentially calling me a liar because he said the interior wasn't original due to the manual options on the car. After doing some research and taking a pic of the RPO sticker, it turns out the car has both 1SC and 1SZ codes. The car is LS1/auto/t-top/no power options at all...none. The car has 157,000 on it and is in good shape. Tranny and rear only have 60,000 miles from a 2000 SS car that I used to own. The SLP exhaust from the SS is also on the car. Everything else is original. Guys are beating me to death on price and I don't want to just give it away. What is a fair price for my car?

Too many 'experts' when it comes to buying/selling. Everyone goes through it. While your car could be very attractive to many buyers, you have lost that appeal with those high miles. It is just a 'used car' now to most folks. It isn't just Z28's like yours but the same applies to anniversary or special editions across the board. Few buyers pay extra for the 'rarity' or collector value once the mileage tops 6 figures. Actually the appeal wanes at much lower mileage than that. Some buyers think 20,000 miles is too much when it comes to 'special' cars. Just personal tastes.
I believe $5,000 would be a fair asking price and you can negotiate from there with their offers. I'd be surprised if someone would pay more than that for a Camaro with 150,000+ miles on it. Hope this isn't disappointing news. GLWS!
By the way, the car looks nice in that photo. Good job keeping it up.
