Default Possible z28 to mod or a c5

So I know I posted something like this before but now I found a 2002 z28 hard top with 45,xxx miles. It also has leather and the hurst shifter. They are asking $9,700 for the car so that leaves me room to mod or I can by a c5 for around $14,000 and maybe do an exhaust.

Of course it's a personal preference to whatever you want the most, but getting a sub 50,000 miles clear titled LS1 for under $10,000 makes sense to me if the car has not been abused or has 'issues'. You didn't include much info about the Z28 so we certainly can't know on this end.

I have not seen it in person but it is all stock and the body looks clean in the pictures. I talked to the owner and seems to be a middle aged couple.

Finding a nice unmolested fbody for that price is quite a find. I would be tempted to buy and just leave it like it is.

It's also a one owner in black. I would just want to lower, nice dished rims, intake, headers, exhaust( maybe tsp true duals) cowl hood, ducktail spoiler. If I. An get them down on the price I can do that and still be around $13,000 mattering what I do for and exhaust and rims

If you want to go fast i'd go with the Camaro. For the extra 4k that you could throw into it (vs the Vette) it could be pretty nasty

I just found out that the car was driven in the snow and salty roads of New England. Is that something I should stay away from?

Ehh depends. I would really be checking the undercarriage, wheel wells, corners of doors, and other hidden areas.

For me it would not he a deal breaker assuming the car looks good.

Up to your personal preference and budget, obviously the C5 is a better overall car.

You can find C5's for 10-12k all day. Sorry I wouldn't pay over 7k for a f-body even if it had 20 original miles at this point

On a budget and want to go as fast as possible? I'd take that Z28 in a heartbeat.
