The old man is kicking around selling his LT4 Corvette. Its the base model 6 spd, "targa top", white exterior, red/black two tone interior. The interior is pretty much perfect still. Exterior is in very good shape. It is a weekend driver so not show quality or anything but really clean.

Here are a few pics I snapped really quick running over his house on lunch.












Only thing done to it is a mail order tune to remove the skip shift and turn the fans on a little sooner.

Anyone got any opinions on what it is worth or links to any comparable ones that are listed or sold recently?

Edit: He does have the original rims and the circa 1996 rubber on them still.

I don't see why some TLC wouldn't bring that car to show quality., especially with 15k miles on the odometer and garage kept.
Price guides will show that car to be in the mid teens, but that is a tad too low IMO. Premiums are attached to cars like these. I believe $20k is realistic, at least as an asking price even with the tires needed for the original rims. Here are a few very low mileage LT4 examples below. Without knowing your Dad's LT4 personally it sounds like it could be a bit better than these with your Dad's having even lower miles, at least comparable. It does take time to sell cars like these since cash will be required. No loans on a nearly 20 year old vehicle unless a home equity loan. Best of luck!!

Hey thanks, yeah his has 10k less miles than those ones and I don't think its ever been in weather in its entire life and is always garaged. He is kind of at the point where he just doesn't drive it and is thinking of getting a Harley or something. I have ridden in it and it pulls HARD so I think to the right buyer and what those comparable ones are listed for he could get about what he is looking for.

$16,500-$18,000 seems like the price range for what you can get. You can ask more though. There are a lot of nice '98-'03 Vettes out there in the $16K to $24K range to compete for someone with approx $20,000 to spend now. In the link below <$20K will get you a 1995 Pace car vert with 2400 miles. The dealer asking price on the only low mileage '96 on auto trader (15,944 miles) is $18,900.

For $20K one can get into some pretty nice 1997-2003 LS-1 Vettes. Even the 2002-2003 400 hp Z-06's can be had for about $22K-$24K with mileage in the 25K to 35K range. There are plenty of Vettes out there with eager private sellers. While I like a low mileage 1996 it has plenty of competition from slightly higher mileage 1997-2005's. One can pick up a 1998 with 20K-25K miles in the $17.5-$18.5K range....and a similar mileage '93-'96 for $14K-$16K.
