2001 Camaro SS 15K....going rate?
Found a fairly local 2001 Camaro SS
15K miles...Not a meticulous car but in nice condition as can be expected for the mileage.
Stock everything down to the window sticker and doesnt have any major mechnaical/cosmetic issues.
What would be a fair value for a pretty much standard SS with 15k miles?

I'm surprised it isn't meticulous, which indicates what?? Left outside? Multiple owners? Is it a 6 speed or auto? Many questions to ask. Need new tires? Fluid changes done? Everything affects price. Carfax OK? Don't assume.
I will tell you that the 'book' values are way too low for ultra low mileage F-bodies. They don't allow enough for the premiums attached to them. A sweet one-owner garage kept 6 speed car with new quality tires would command a price above $15,000 easily. A 3 owner that wasn't kept up real well, has the original rubber and was left outside in the elements would be worth thousands less, and closer to $12,000 than $15,000. You can see how much the price varies and most car sites will have the prices all over the place to reflect this. Take a look at this 'private party' ad in the link below which has similar mileage and appears to be really NICE!! How does the car you are looking at compare? This SS probably can be had for $15,000 or $15,500 cash.

Here's a pretty neat 2,780 mile one owner, black 2002 SS M6 with CME. My only concern would be the fact they started the car every month but only changed the oil once in 12 years. Maybe that works. If the oil was changed only once it's likely that all the other fluids have never been changed. The documents shown are mostly copies. Driven so little (and probably fairly slow too) that there are cobwebs under the car. Owner states it's never seen a drop of rain and T-Tops have never been off. Even for a 1 owner car this is pretty much like a barn find. Lots of bids on this auction and I think it will go up to what the car is worth, not necessarily what the owner thinks it is worth. Currently at $16,200. I figure it bids up to $16,750-$17,500 range with $18,000 being tops.

Update: the car ended up bidding to $17,500 but short of reserve. That was a fair price. Looks like the owner/dealer/flipper/consignment company want's a few grand more.
