Default Guys with 19s what tires do you use?

Geez I cant find cheap tires for this thing anywhere! I got a quote from tomzwheels for 859 or something like that.

I think my rims are 8.5. So im looking for a 255/35/19

I have looked on tire rack, discount tire. Nothing. The cheapest I can find is 180 I think.

What do you guys do?

I got my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 275/30/19 tires off of eBay used...but I had to buy them a pair at a time and I made my purchases 6 months apart because I couldn't find the 2nd pair for the longest. However, that being said, I think my first pair, which are down to 4/32nds ran me $100 shipped, but the 2nd pair which had 8/32nds left (almost new) ran me $225 shipped...still, only $325 for all 4 which is the price of ONE new.

If you're looking new, then check out the General Exclaim UHP tires, however, $180 or so does sound about right. 275/30/19's are $170 new.

for a 19x8.5 inch rim you would need a 245/35/19 for it to be the correct tire for and f-body.
thats the size i have on the front of my benz on the rears the wheels are 19x9.5 and i run 275/30/19's on em.
there is much more choices in the size i recomended and they are a lot cheaper.
also stay away from the general exclame uhp's they are junk i have them on my benz and the front look new but vibrate like hell and the rear are down to the wear bars in about 11-12k miles and they are very very LOUD! hope this helps.

Nankang's are ok. Definitely cheap for a reason though. 19's aren't going to be cheap at all though, lol. I would say hit up that guy with the used Continentals. Those'll probably be better than the Nankangs.

Here's another option besides using a 255; A 245/35/19s, wil give you a larger selection of tire for less money than a 255.
D.T.D.
Kumho Ecsta SPT($159), Falken FK 452($166), Nitto NT NeoGen ZR($176).
T.R.
Dunlop Direzza DZ101($141), Kumho Ecsta MX($149),

General Exclaim UHP($149), Kumho Ecsta SPT($151)

I am running the Kuhmo ecsta SPT's. These were about the cheapest tire I could find. It cost be $900 for 2 19" tires and 2 18" tires.

Wow thats alot cheaper.

So how can I find out exactly what size rims I have? Im not positive they are 8.5 but the previous owner got some 235s and they are really really stretched. To the point where im surprised they hold air. Ill check on the receipt for the rims to see it its on there.

the rim size and offset SHOULD be stamped on the wheel somewhere....usually around the bolt holes on the INSIDE of the rim, but sometimes on one of the spokes on the inside as well...

in the pics I posted of the 255, those are on 8.5 wide Adr M-sports. I went to 245/35 for a shorter tire but it was stretched a bit C if I have a pic

This is exactly why I'm gonna sell my MRR GT1 19's. Tires are just too damn exspensive. About your question though, I have 275/35/19 Nitto NT555s and I love them.

well, this is all I have for pics of the 245s. A little stretched but not bad

What a 285 looks like on a 9.5 wide rim:

See if the 245's are streched then why would it be the right size for the tire? I mean i understand that it would throw off the speedo a bit and the traction control.

I never had probs with any of the above. Just for ur info. Well maybe the speedo was off but I'd take a nice look over my speedo being off by a mph or 2. Plus I've never kept stock tire size on anything I've ever owned. If it's 4x4, its gets lifted, and of its 2wd, it gets lowered. So nothing I have is usually right on as far as the speedo. hahah

I can agree with the 245 vs 255 on a 8.5 wide wheel. I had both and showed u with pics. the 255 looked more square on the rim. Not stretched at all in other words. Like I said, I have these 2 tires sittn here and will let them go cheap cuz no one around my area will ever have 19's hahaha
