Default How to tell offset

I am going to look at some ZR1's this weekend and its a girl selling them and she has no idea what sizes they are. She told me the fronts are 16x9.5 and the rears are 17x11. I just care about the rears and would like to see if they are the 50MM offset. Are there any measurements I can make or markings on the rim itself?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Joshua

Most manufacturers stamp the info on the inside of the wheel on the spokes. Otherwise you can lay a ruler across the back of the wheel then measure down to the bolt circle.

In the case above the measurement is to the center of the wheel. The ruler will measure all the way to the left edge where the rim is. This is backspace. But it relates to offset.

Offset on an 11" wheel will be your measurement minus 5.5" (distance to center).

A +50MM wheel will measure about 7.5"
