Default 17x9.5 with 6.5" B.S. for rear only?

I am looking at the centerline Lazer and the only B.S. for a 17x9.5 is 6.5". I would only run these in the back with a 275/40/17 Nitto DR on it. I know the typical is to do a 7" B.S., but will the 6.5" fit? Also, I do not mind if I have to roll the lip a bit. The way I read it, a 17x11 with a 7.75" offset will have 3.25" to front of wheel and a 17x9.5 with a 6.5" offset will only have 3" to front, which if I am understanding correctly, means my 6.5" B.S. should be inset 1/4" more than a typical 17x11.

On the front I would run a 17x8 with 5.5" B.S. and a 245/45/17 Nitto 555 tire.

Let me know what ya'll think about this.

James

Imo, run at least a 6-3/4" backspacing (+38mm offset) at a minimum!

6.5" is as high as it goes. But if you do the math (as I understand it) you get a +45mm offset with a 6.5" B.S. on a 9.5" rim.

I have read the sticky and have tried to find other posts, but I am really looking for a pic or someone who has done this setup before, not speculation or opinion, although i do respect the opinion and I agree....I would go with a 7" B.S. if it were available.

I know I've just got to be doing something wrong with the Math...can someone tell me were I'm not understanding?

It seems like they should fit, but I don't wanna order them and it be wrong.

It seems to me that these wheels should basically stick out 1" farther than a stock 17x9 with 7" B.S., right?

Back spacing works with measurements taken from outside the wheel lip, and offset and the listed wheel width is taken from measurements inside the wheel lip.
