You run the taller tire to get the more sidewall flex/twist/whatever it is. Any DR will flex some but more is better for drag racing. Worse for handling though but anybody thinking about running a 15 does not care about that anyway. I think it reduces the shock of the launch and give a little spring action just after launch.
