I think the black w trim rings- steelie wheels off the bare bones base model would look good on a sleeper/stripper/street warrior looking 4th gen. Like GTO spares...they aren't the right bolt pattern although I've seen plenty of people running those.

I think when they are done RIGHT on the RIGHT car they look great. I have them on my car and I think it looks sick as hell! Of course mine are done right and don't rub anywhere. I also have slicks and skinnies for the drag strip so my suspension is adjustable and the car is lowered. Didn't have change anything though. I run 275/65/15 DRs on Billet Specialties drag wheels and they are actually just a bit taller than the 285/35/20 that are on these and I have 245/35/20 up front. Could go wider in the back and in the front. Probably end up with 305/35/20 in the back (I have run 305/45/18 DRs before so I know they will fit) and 255/35/20 up front when I replace them. I got really lucky price wise for the tires I have now. $300 total for tires, just had to wait and be patient to get good deals on good tires. Didn't want to pay full price before I got them on and made sure I liked it.

Does anyone know if the stock Pirelli tires that come with the 2010 SS Camaro wheels will fit a 1999 Z28? The tires are 245/45/20 front and 275/40/20 rear. I'm trying to find out if the tires along with the wheels will fit or if I have to drop to a 245/35 tire like the guys on this forum to make it work. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I Want to do the same thing i have seen pictures on internet and i have read that you have to have something special done to make them fit. I think they look awesome on the fourth gen

They stock tires will fit as long as you are still at stock ride height. But that will look like ***. If you are lowered the tires will rub the top of the inner fender well any time you hit the slightest bump. And if you are lowered your rear fender lips should be rolled if they aren't already.
Basically lowered car decent aftermarket shocks and struts( not 14 year old soft worn out stock crap) thd right size tires and you are 70% there.
You do have to enlarge the center wheel bore a little. I did mine myself. But some machine shops will due it for around $200. It cost me $5 and about 3 hrs which is the time they said it would take them. But I didn't have to wait two weeks to get started.
If you have questions ask.

The center wheel bore is 67mm on the 5th gen wheel and the hub on the 4th gen is 70.1mm. So, you have to open it up a little. At first I thought it would be a pain in the a$$ so I called to get a quote. I was quoted $180-200 by the only machine shop in the area that had the equipment to do it. Not bad but I didn't feel like paying for something I might be able to do myself. When I actually looked at the center bore from the inside of the wheel it was obvious that GM expected people to do this. The center bore is actually big enough but the is a "tab" of aluminum that extends inward from each wheel stud hole. They are only about 1/8" x 1/8" X 1" each and removing them does not effect structural integrity of the wheel at all. I tried a few different things that I already had to grind them off mostly Dremel attachments. They worked but very slowly and I was burning threw them fast. So I went to Lowes in search of something better. And it cost $4.63. They sell a metal rasp bit for a drill. Works like a champ. You just have to use a wire brush to clean it off after a few tabs. The soft aluminum fills up the cutting surfaces on the rasp. A quick brushing will clean it out and you are back in business. I cranked out all 4 wheels in just under 3 hrs. The machine shop quoted me 3 hrs of labor and couldn't get started for two weeks. Some may be concerned that I didn't get it even but they would be wrong. The wheel is practically designed to do this. Plus I had my tires mounted and balanced afterward so I have no issues. Just snug up you lug nuts by hand before you tighten them down all the way. The .56mm difference in lug pattern is completely unnoticed. I have put all 480hp she's got right now through the rear tires with no wobble.

On a iroc or 3rd gen im sure they would look killer, especially with a few modern upgrades, silver one doesnt look to bad but there are so many wheels that fit the car better, ill stay to my guns (those wheels will only look good on g8s,and 3rd gens) i dont mind 20s on a 4th but the 5hth gen wheels just look odd to me,

You guys should try the 18x8 Touren TR9 rims with the black and machined face. They look similar but they definitely look better than those bulky 5th gen rims. These are the ones I'm getting next month.
