more expensive than nittos, onlinetires has nittos for 125 each 275/40/17 or i can pickup a pair for 300 new, and nittos are well known, but i know mt et streets hook better at the track but im thinking nittos will be much better on the street
but what do i know? lol

Do you drive a lot? If so Nittos..
IF you want a 6 speed to hook, save your money get an extra set of wheels get some slicks (ET Drag, Hooser QTP), rearend and some shocks lol.

I like the Toyos..seem to be pretty good from what I hear and Look awsome!

I went from 315 555r's to the M/T's...night and day. No other DR will last like a Nitto- but they are also about the bottom of the barrel for hooking. With my Nittos- Hooking at the track was way spotty...maybe 1.9's with the lucky 1.8 60 ft times. With the M/T's I cut 1.7's on every launch! Even if you spin them some- they still push you forward. I have a 400 rwhp M6 car with a Spec4 and 3.90 gears...they handle 3-4000 rpm launches pretty well.

There is a difference in the ET Street and the ET Street Radial..The radial is what he would want for street use the bias ply is still DOT approved but have very little to no tread and will take the shock of 6000 Rs from a 6 speed!

just looked up the Azenis RT-615 and a 245/45/17 is only 108 each, should i go that route? would a 245/45/17 be enough tread width?
maybe a kdws? or should nitto 555rs be the least stickiest i should go

Anything less sticky than the 555R will spin forever.

Look, keep it simple: go to TireRack and pick your performance review: then price out which fits your wallet best. Or just read there VERY comprehensive reviews: they are the only one to do back to back tests of every tire they sell. And they make it easy to see where your favorite tire really falls in the ratings category... who would have thought a "Ultra High Performance Summer Tire" is actually 2 to 3 steps down from the best you can get for a sticky summer tire?! Extreme Performance Summer is where the big boys play. Read through all the various comparison tests... very interesting to see where alot of tires that guys on these forums swear by actually land in a cold, hard, comparison test.

imo the 555r's will last longer but the mt's will hook better and might blow your 10 bolt
