up grading rims and tires
gunna need new tires some what soon down the road so was lookin at upgrading tires to get better traction cause im just spinning through 1st and 2nd, right now i have 17x9 c6 rims with 275/40R17s on them front and back (there falken zeinx's which i feel is a good decent tire for a DD car with out going DR) one is bent though from previous owner so i keep it on the back, what i was lookin at doing is getting a set of 17x11 rims for the rear to ditch the one bent one and to get a wider tire in the rear for traction with out going with a DR.
these are the rims i was looking at
http://www.jegs.com/i/Detroit+Wheels...7161C/10002/-1
they come with 50mm offset and 36mm offset, right now my 275/40s ALMOST rub in the rear when i lift the car by the body and have like a 1/4 inch of room between inner fender and tire, i don't wanna do anything to my body so the 36mm offset will set the rim further out correct? like its 36mm off set from the center of the rim right? and i was looking at going to a 315/35R17 or what ever 315/??R17 is equal or a tad larger then my 275/40R17s, i actually have about a half to 1 inch of lift in the rear from adding my moser 9inch too. but thanks guys any info is helpful
