Default Wheel Sale? May Help to Ask Why

This is just an FYI post to educate the next guy, nothing more…

I purchased a set of wheels from a sponsor based on a Sale thread on LS1Tech. Below is a picture of one of the wheels as it came out of the box (the other 3 are very nice by the way). I only post this to suggest the idea of inquiring why the wheels are on sale to begin with. I did not, and I learned that “sales” are not always what you may expect. I very well may be an isolated case, but who knows…

It never hurts to ask, and I will in the future.

If you were not informed it was a scratch/dent sale ask them to replace it. Being "on sale" does not give them the right to sell sub par merchandise as "new/perfect condition".

Just my $.02

Well, then I'm going to go with they told you "tough luck" since you posted this thread. The same lives on you should not only inform fellow ls1tech members to be weary, but also to be weary about a specific company. So, that being said, who was it?

Well the wheel is clearly a FIKSE . . . is it possible the wheel was "affected" during shipping? . .

Or is it really the case . . the wheels were clearance "as is" wheels? . . .

If it was during shipping the seller should help with the insurance claim and in some cases the shipper is the one who must file such claims.

Interesting, but not the sale I responded to.

I think it's fair to say anyone responding to that thread had a relatively good indication of what they were getting.

Mark.

I see.. have you contacted the wheel company to try and resolve it? If so, what did they say?
