Default Shipping tires (no box)

I am looking for some advice on how to ship used tires. I have bought tires from tirerack.com that were shipped with 2 taped together using no box. Does anyone know what company they use to ship? I am actually trying to buy some used 325/50/15's and the seller went to UPS and they told him it would be over $45 per tire, they could not be shipped taped together, and its only about 180 miles away. Has anyone found a cost effective option out there? Thanks in advance, Alex

I've shipped tired through UPS and FedEx. I've sent them taped together. I'd try a Different UPS or try FedEx

I bought mine on Ebay last year. They shipped UPS with two tires taped together. UPS does this all day long. I would find another UPS store.

When mine were bought through eBay a few weeks ago they were taped together (2+2) via FedEx.

Tire rack has a deal with Big Brown so you can't do what they do for that cheap
unless you are a business yourself.

I found the cheapiest way to send tires is thru the Post Office by Parcel Post
