Default Wheels rubbing.... Thinking about new wheels

I have a 99 z28 with 18x10.5 with 285 35 18 nitto 555r in the rear. Ive done the BFM and still the tires rub a little. i just got in a new pair of NT05r's that are 285 40 18 and im afraid to put them on being that they are a little bigger and i alrady have rubbing issues with the tires on there now that are worn to the belts. I'm seriously considering selling all 4 wheels and getting 17x11 deep dish zr1's in the back with a 305 or 315 tire. Will this help my clearance issues because i cant beat the fender in anymore.

Perhaps you can solve your problem with a spacer to correct the offset?
