4lbs lighter wheel worth $500?? I can get OEM wheel that is 22lbs or reproduction for 26lbs. The cost difference per set is $500. I plan to autocross with these wheels. How much of a difference is 4 lbs. and is it worth the extra money.

It's not 4lbs difference, it's 16lbs, and yes, that does make a difference since the weight is being rotated and far away from the center of rotation.
If it were me, I'd get the lighter wheels for the extra $500 if your plan is to race. For regular street use, no, not worth it, but for racing, it's worth it.
