Default Question for OEWheels

Curiosity question I've never really seen answered, but asked multiple times:

Has there ever been actual consideration put into making the C5 deep dish wheels in a 17x11?

If not, why not?

If so, what's kept it from coming to fruition?

There's plenty of demand for a 17x11 deep dish C5. Not everyone wants a ZR1 rim, or an 18" rim. But wants to run a 315, and REALLY like the look of the C5 wheels.

Thanks in advance.

Also, if enough attention was gained through this thread, would you consider doing it?

Unfortunately this is the 1000 thread about this topic,so there answer is no,there is such a demand for another cheap option for a 17x11 rear, but they dont care much, they do well with what they have and they make wheels for alot of other makes, its dumb but thats just how it is,and like i said this topic has been beaten to death so many times, they know it would do well but like i said they arent in a make or break situation lol

The OE Wheels reps on this forum are more than likely not anyone that has any real pull in that very large business.

Wow talk about getting beat up : We will not be doing a 17x11 c5 dd wheel. We are aware that you want to have one. The reason we are not going to be doing one is like someone mentioned above, in that we manufacture a lot of wheels for various different makes. We are currently focusing our efforts on truck wheels at this time for various makes and models. We can only produce so many new wheels each year for it to make financial sense. Please keep in mind that one mold cost around $5k then you have to commit to at least two containers that each contain 600-700 wheels each. I hope this explains it a little better.

Who gives a **** about truck wheels?

Thanks for the response. Seems like it's either widen them then, or go with a different wheel all together.
