Default Proper style lug nuts for OE wheels?

Just posting to ask what is the proper style lug nut seat for OE wheels. I have some 17X11 ZR1's that I had loosen up with the lugs I bought and I'm wondering if I got the wrong type? I got some open ended 1/2" nuts from the local O'reilly's but not entirely sure what the seat type is on the ones I got.

When you say 1/2", do you mean the hex HEIGHT of the lugs, or is it 1/2" stud diameter you got??

Our OEM wheel stud size is 12mm x 1.5 thread, NOT 1/2" (unless someone changed them for strength reasons??).

It's a 1/2" thread pattern, from a MWC 9" rear end. I have 3" studs for my drag wheels so I'm gonna need an open ended nut. I'm more or less asking what the seat style of the lugs needs to be. Conical 60*, conical 45*, ball seat etc.
