I've ran both, and prefer the TQ's. They last just as long as the 555R's, but stick better

NT05R > TQ > 555R in the Nitto/Toyo world (since Toyo makes Nitto).

TQ last like the 555R and hook better. NT05R are better but don't last as long.

I've found the NT05Rs cheaper than the TQs tho.

I got 2 Toyo DRs in 315/35/17 for $385 shipped to my door. NT05s were a bit more and I never spun my Toyos. At the end of the day it depends on how much power you're pushing.

Fender roll and BFH process was complete to fit the previous 315/30s I took off. Mathematically, these should be the same section width....manufacturer differences will confirm reality. No spacers....have the correct offset.

Jake, Where did you find the NT05r's cheaper than the TQ's?? I always see ~$200 per tire for the NT05r's and thats for a 275 40 17.

I ran the tq on my stock 16s last year and they would almost dead hook with low psi (22-25) on the street with my combo after a small burnout. I picked up a set of ZR1s so Ill be going with those again. I have a random single 555r in the same size id be using for the TQ's, so when I order my toyos I want to compare the width difference.

I can tell you presonally that a 315 Toyo TQ is a lot wider than a 315 Nitto 555R. It's almost rediculous considering they are both a 315 lol

From what ive read/seen the 315 555r is comparable to most 275 tires.

I totally agree with that statement! In fact my buddy's 275 BFG dr's were just as wide as my 315 555R's

Remember Section Width is not the same measurement as Treadwidth. Most manufacturer's list both. When I was shopping tuires for my Expedition the 255 size had treadwidths ranging from 7.8 inched up to almost the full 10 inch section width, depending on tire. i bought near the top of the range.
