Thinking about buying a set of C6 Spyder replica wheels... Offset?
After weeks of deliberation, I've decided to go with Gunmetal C6 Spyder replica wheels. My only question is do I go with 56mm or 40mm offset?
I'm thinking I want the 40mm offset -- mostly because I want to run the C6 Z06 brakes up front, and I don't want to use a spacer to get them to fit right.
I just don't want the wheels to stick out too far and look bad. I'll be running a 275/35/18 tire.. probably Potenza RE-11's.
Is my logic correct?

Second the 40. Depending on the width of the rim, that may still not be enough to run flush. I've got the 44mm on the same wheels on the front which are 18x8 and they definitely arent wide enough under the front fenders for my liking. I definitely plan on getting spacers for them.

These would be 18x9.5 with a 40mm offset. They don't have to be totally flush, I just want room for big brakes. I'm just concerned that I will have issues with rubbing, and I can't find a body shop in town that rolls fenders.

As it turns out, after a week of waiting, Factory Reproductions doesn't have any comp grey spyder wheels in stock! So I have asked 6LE for a refund. Now that I have the tires sitting in the garage, I hit the internet hard to find another solution.
Turns out, I found a place that had 4 OEM grey Spyder wheels in stock for decent price! He said he had a lot more front wheels than back, so he would cut me a deal. Works for me, since I'm running the 18x9.5 +40's on all 4 corners!
Hopefully I can get them before the end of next week...

So I got the wheels today, and they look AWESOME! I will get them installed tomorrow morning, as all the tires stores that are willing to mount a tire of that size are closed for the evening. I found 2 places in town that would mount a 275/35/18 tires... I didn't think this was a big deal?
Anyways, one area of disappointment was the lug nut wells weren't painted all the way -- is this a common issue? Its really not noticeable, just a little annoying being that its a new factory wheel.
These are GM factory wheels that area brand new, never mounted to anything. And you can clearly tell they are brand freaking new. They are going to look awesome.
