Default Question about fitting wheels

Question about fitting new wheels on my 2000 Trans Am
(little new to the f-body scene/car stuff in general so i apologize if this sounds unreasonable or stupid but after 8 hours of research i'd figure i might as well just ask)

Right now running stock 16 x 8 ET40 all around with 245/50 R16 tires

I want to change the wheels and tires to give them a flasher look. Smaller tires in front, Fatter tires in back.

I was considering putting on:
18 x 9.5 ET56 with 255/35 R18 in front
18 x 10.5 ET56 with 295/40 R18 in rear

Would there be any fitting issue with this set up?
(already feeling the rears are gonna have an issue)

It's really hit or miss as to if they'll fit due to inconsistencies in the cars, some have to roll the fenders and do the BFH mod, some just throw them on and they fit. I have a camaro and run a 17x11 and had to do a lot to get them to fit. TAs have more room than camaros though, so worst case is you'll have to do a little work, but they'll fit. If you're not willing to do that work, I'd go a bit smaller.

I don't know if you car is lowered or not or what tire brand you running
but IMO I would go with a 35 series rear tire instead of a 40

And you will most likely rub on the inner driver's side for sure unless
you do the BFH mod or at least get Adj Panhard bar

Also I am not crazy about your front tires being so narrow on a 9.5 wheel and or being so sucked in I would go with a 275 on there and then run
a small spacer on them like a 3/8" to push them back out a little.
