Default Is it safe to run this size tire ?

Is it ok to run 285/40/17 on my stock WS6 9inch rims ?
Guys at the tire place didn't say anything about it.

Also, what PSI are you guys keeping in your tires ?

On the inside of the drivers door it says the PSI, 30 for me. And the only problem I see with the larger tires is, your speed sensors will be reading dif. i.e. abs problems and so on.

its only a little wider and not tall enough to throw of the speedo. manufacturers actually think ahead and give a little extra room for changes. mainly for things like tire wear.

Ok, I can see that, I wasn't sure how significant of a change there was.

It actually is taller, not by much but it is taller and wider than the stock tire. It will fit just fine on an OEM 9" rim. Air pressure should remain the same as stock. Will the speedo be off? A little, but nothing detrimental.
