Default Tires?

I'm just curious if I would have to do any special mods to fit 315/35-17 tires on a 1996 T/A with stock rear end.

Depends, what are the offsets of the wheels? More then likely you will have to roll the fenders and beat the sidewall in some areas. It also depends on the brand of tires. 315 nittos tend to not be 315s. I run a 325 on a 15x10 rim and the tire is 13 inches wide

Make sure your rims will be wide enough or the tire won't flatten out to that width anyways. The 315 is measured across in millimeters so converted thats about 12.5" wide
