I have a set of 17X8.5 C5 Corvette wheels on my firebird and was wondering what was the widest tire that I can safely put on the rear rims. I had 245/45/17 on all 4's and because my rear tires are bald I was thinking of putting some wider ones on the back. Thanks in Advance

I wouldn't go wider. Maybe 255 but that is about as far as I would go.

yeah i think i would just put some 245 drag radials on there...why did you get rims that skinny??

Thanks, I was looking at some 255 for it. I bought the wheels from e-bay last year I got all 4 w/ tires for like 1200 w/ shipping. Before that I just had the stock Silver 5 star wheels and wanted something different, In the summer it is my dd and I dont plan on ever racing it(I have a different type of race car that I race). Thanks for the info.
