Default Will a 28.6 inch tire fit

Need to know if a 28.6 inch tire will fit in the rear of a 4th gen camaro.

13" section width and a 10" tread width.

My assumption are that it will fit by the narrowist of margians.

Anyone running anything close to that. Any alterations, beating or cutting needed.

I had a 28x12.5x15 tire, you need to pound out the inner fender wall, grind off the bump stops completely, and that should take care of it, and the calipers depending on what rims you use.....

bos, pounding out the inner fender wheels.

Are you saying just beating the inner fender towards the frame on the ca, correct.

No to worried about the bumpstops. Just really do not want to beat on everything.

Thanks

Stay around the area that would be pointing towards the middle of the car.....your best bet is to test fit and then drive the car around the block and it will make an exact mark for you, this is how I did it.....

I tried putting a 29" Hoosier on my car at one point and it would not fit without cutting the sides of the quarter panel, so I opted for a 28 Et Street.

However, Hoosier sizes tend to run right much larger for the same advertised size than Mickey Thompson, A 28" tall tire is plenty for our cars unless you have a all out drag or a badass drag radial car. If you cant hook on a 28" tire than you might want to start looking elsewhere for traction problems than the tire. Just my .02.

A 28x11.5 et street on a 10" wheels fits very nicely. But a little hammer action will be necessary.
