Default Opinions Needed.

Yes, I know this is a common topic, but I am in search of some wheels/tires.
I'm 16 (17 this Saturday) and am paying off my T/A off $300 a month. So yea, with me in Highschool full time, any extra money after that $300 chunk is taken out is kinda slim. I have saved up about... $1,100. As stated above, my birthday is coming up, so that'll give me some more.

Since I am not driving the T/A right now (insurance.. is well, KILLER)- I have some time to get wheels and tires. Im assuming wheels first, then tires unless I can find a combo. Most T/As around here (Greensboro, NC) are stockers, and have no change in wheels. The only aftermarket wheel I have ever seen around here on a T/A is some TTIIs. I like the Profils a lot, but I wonder what the silver ones would look like on a red T/A.

So let's say... a $1,500 budget. For wheels. I mean, I can always get some QTP headers and Y-pipe with QTEC for $1,500, but Im going to get the exterior down first, and since Im not driving it yet, I dont need a 350rwhp car when Im 17. Performance will come when I get more experience with the ol' M6.

[cliff notes] *$1,500 budget. Wheels. I like Privat Profils. I have a red T/A.*
Opinions? ((sorry about the long thread))

So you are in High School Full-time and pay $300 a month plus insurance and were able to save $1,000? You must have a well paying job or work alot.

Get fake Z06's.

damn, that is a lot of cash to fork over...money is definitely a hard spot when your that young...i totally feel ya, im 16 as well. i agree with you on your aspect of not needing loads of power at such a young age, thats why im also focusing on my exterior....starting with chrome z06s...like everyone else!!
