Default Advise Please Need tires & wheels that will fit without mods in rear of my 02 Z-28

Hey all:
1st I did a search but I keep seeing this go both ways so I need input from ones that have done this or why I shouldn't.

I need wheels and tires bad to get some traction with all my new mods.

02 Z-28 with Eibach 1.2 pro kit springs.

What I am looking into:

Z06 wheels or maybe even ZR1 wheels with nitto drag radials.

Without having to cut, roll or hammer the heck out of my car what will work and also be safe?

I keep hearing that a nitto 315/40/17 tire will work fine on a 17X9.5 wheel. Is this true?

I may even go with a 18X10.5 wheel on the rear. Which size tire will fit that and without having to modify the heck out of it.

I am ready to get some wheels so help please. I have ran the 17X9.5 with a 275/40/17 nitto but they always look small on the back of the car.

18x10.5 +50 to +53. Higher than 53 will require the BFH mod. 285-35-18s thru 315-30-18. Over 285 will require rolling the fenderlip and BFH. 17x11's. Always a possibility of needing the BFH and fender rolling mods with 315s. 17x10 +38 offset is very aggressive but fits all 4 corners...even lowered 1.5". 315/40/17 tire will work fine on a 17X9.5 wheel. Is this true? 315 on a 9.5 rim some will argue thats not a good idea and that you shouldnt go bigger than 285 other will say your fine with no porblems...its your call...
