tire options for my wheels

tire options for my wheels well i ordered some tires today from discount, i got some 265/35/18 555's for the front (18x9'') and a 285/35/18 for the rear (18x10.5'')....now, i noticed everyone usually runs about a 10mm wider tire front and back from what i got...whats your personal opinions on what i got compared to a 275/35/18 and a 295/35/18? i was thinking about changing the sizes, but will 10mm's be that big a difference? i tried to search for pictures, and came up with a couple, but i didnt really notice that big a difference...so basicly im just asking your opinion, and advice for what i got, and if i should get the bigger sizes...thanks in advance
