Tire width & driving
I currently have stock 16in wheels with 245/50 bfg kdws tires on them. I am going to be getting the 17x (9 or 9.5?) stock ws6 wheels, and will be putting 275/40 goodyear gs-d3 on them. I was told 275/40 was the biggest tire for that rim, is that correct? But my main question is will my car feel any different to drive, and if so for better or worse? Thanks.

With 275s you'll notice truck ruts in the road because the car will want to follow them all over the road. Not a big deal, just you have to focus a little more on road trips. It's not just f-body's--all the vehicles that I've had when I went to a wider tire are susceptible to this.

i just put on 275-35-18's and 295-35-18's on my car, and I put those on to replace my stock rims and tires. My ride is MUCH better, handling is MUCH better. Steering wheel feels much more solid, but heavy though. Overall a nice change, and feels much better than stock.
