Z51 Mag rims Ive got a line on a set of new GM Z51 Magnesium rims for cheap. The problem is the car sits on Eibach Sportlines. How much of a clearance problem will i have on the rear with 285/35YR18 vs. 275/35YR18? How about the front running 275/40YR17s? Would spacers help in the rear at all? Also can mag. rims be chromed? Thx for your help.

The C5 magnesium wheels have a 56 mm front offset and a 65 mm rear offset. You may have to run spacers in the rear to clear the jounce spacer and body. The 285/35/18 will match the speedo so that is a good choice, however running a set of 275's on a 8.5" rim is too wide. Good luck and great choice.
