Really nice rim/tire combo for drag radials?help
I'm looking for a really good appearance with little fender to tire gap. I'm not going to touch the fender lip at all or be banging the well. If you guys could point me in the best direction as for a base rim to start with and size/ back spacing that would be awesome. This will be on a white ss btw. Are skinnies legal for the street? If so i'd include those as well.

well right now i have et street radials 255/50/16s on some firebird twisties
i will be going with convo pro 15x7.5 with a 5" backspace and some 275/50/15 mts...no grinding
you could go with weld 15x10s with the 275s but you will have to grind...alot

15x3.5 w/ 1.75 BS= Front/Skinnes
15x8 w/ 5.5 BS=Back
For Prostars, draglites and any other "race" wheel, i think.
I have Skinnes and meats on my car with BFG DRs and it looked awesome not much of a fender gap. Your going to have some gap no matter what if you use an 8in wheel.
I just went up to a 26x10.5x15 ET STREET im thinking these will fill the wheel wells up more, and traction wont be a problem.
