Default How easy is it to bend an 18" wheel?

I like to drive on some pretty crappy back roads(lots of fun ) that should have been paved 10 years ago. I was thinking of getting some black HP Evo wheels, but they only make them in 18" size, no 17". Anybody bend their 18" rims on a pothole or bump?

If the pothole is big enough, you can bend them. The tire sidewall takes most of the abuse, so the more sidewall you can get, the better your chances are of not having any rim damage.
