Default my first post.. simple tire question

will the goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3 315/35zr17 fit and not rub on the back of a 96 firebird formula that is NOT lowered and has 17x11 ZR1's with +50mm offset without banging out the inside wall?

and do you think the goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3 285/40zr17 is a safe bet that it wont rub seeming how they are wider than what they claim?

Welcome, to the site. 315's typiucally do require some minor modding to get tehm to fit. The GS-D3 is ENORMOUS, so I'd say some minor inner wheel well massaging will be required, no biggie . . .

I don't think a 285/40 would fit an 11" wheel properly, it's not a wide enough tire.

The Goodyears do run quite a bit wider. I have the el cheapo Sumitomo 315s on 17x11s with 50mm backspacing and have no rubbing. I didn't have to touch the fenderwell either. Mine is lowered though, so that may help mine out with missing the bumpstops.
