Default Painting chrome wheels?

Alright I know there are a few of you guys that have painted your chrome wheels before and I want details on how you did it. I just got my TTII's on and now that the WS6 wheels are off I'd like to get them done CETA style. The reason being is because when winter comes around I'd like to put the stock wheels back on so my TTII's don't turn to sh*t! I have already searched but no one gave specific details on how to do it. I need to know what to sand it with to make the paint/primer stick, what clear, any other prep you think I need, etc.

I know everyone will say powdercoat but there is no one near me that will do it, plus these will just be winter rims so I'm trying to keep it cheap. Give me any tips you have.

By the way we do have a paint shop that mixes paint for all the body shops around here so I can get automotive clear from them. But do you all recommend the wheel paint from like autozone or automotive paint from the shop?
