Need to know what size spacer to use for prostar
I just purchased a pair of Weld Prostars 15x8 with 5.5 back spacing for my 2k ss. I need to know what size spacert to use. If any of yall are running the same size wheel on an f body please help me out. As far as the grinding goes, can i grind the caliper down enough so i dont have to use any spacers?
Thankss,
Jonathan

You will have to grind. You can use a 5/16" spacer on the front to keep some 15x3.5s from grinding, but the rears will require grinding regardless of whether they are 15x8s or 15x10s. Everybody running Welds on LS1 cars has used the grinder on the rear calipers. Grind some, then test-fit, then grind again until you take the right amount off. You'll have to remove a good bit to get them to fit though.

I have 15x4" Prostars, just got em...
went to pep boys and bought two 5/16" spacers...put em on bolted the wheels...perfect!
the spacer isn't perfectly flat though so there is a VERY slight wobble...not noticeable when driving...but that kinda sucks...i mean, they aren't machined so what do you expect...
but yeah 5/16"

sorry to bump this thread but just want to make sure and didn't want to start a new thread when it's already been asked...
for the front I need a 5/16" spacer, for the rears I don't need any spacer at all just grind the **** out of the caliper? this is a 15x4/15x8 (5.5" backspacing) combo
