wheel appearance question
Alright I was going to get brand new wheels and tires but decided to just refinish my wheels in blacks and get some new rubber. Should I paint them and clear them myslef , have it professionally done, or get them powdercoated? How much should it cost to powdercoat them or paint them if I take it somewhere? The wheels are the stock 16" 5 spoke chrome ones that came with the car.

When I bought my car it came with painted black stock wheels. It looked like ***. I decided to strip them and paint them silver with clear coat. Looked better but guess what, it still looked like ***. Finally couldn't take it anymore and bought aftermarket. Very happy now. I would say if you want to try it yourself, by all means go ahead but in the end you'll probably end up either having it done professionaly or buying another set. Why would you want to paint the chrome ones? Trade for some black ones or sell them and buy another set. I wouldn't go messing with a set of chrome stockers.
