Default 16s or 17s? I can't tell...

Ok, i have a 99 camaro with the stock wheels on her. I'm getting ready to put on some new wheels. I want to sell these to make some money back. I have thought that they were 17 inch ZR1-such wheels. I'm starting to think that they're 16s now(after looking on the tire and seeing the R16 mark). Please help me out...see attatched pics

Thanks, - JScott

No they are just the stock 16" wheels, and they are not ZR1's.

Yup, stock 5 spoke 16 inchers.....and just so ya know, rim diameter isn't measured from the outside wheel face like you're doing, it's the diameter of the actual hoop. My 17" wheels measure nearly 19" at the face.

You can always tell what tire and rim size you're looking at by the numbers on the side. You're on the right track with looking at the "R16"

First number is how many milimeters wide the tire is.
Second number is the % of that first number that the tire is tall.
The number after the R is the rim size that tire needs to mount to.

So if you're looking at a 200/50 R15, the tire is:

200mm wide
100mm sidewall
It goes on a 15 inch rim.

Good luck to you!!
