Default Tire fitment question..

I was reading a post from another website and a guy said he had like 305-45-16 or w.e. drags slicks/radials on a set of salad shooters. I was wondering how, if at all, you can put 305's on a set of 8in. rims. Possible?

This is the add followed by a some guy supporting it...

"Salad shooters" with 305-40-16 M&H Racemaster street slicks

"its common to run a slick that wide on a rim that size, sidewall bulge being the primary reason the way that i "crumples" off the line aids in hookin up off the line"
