Default C6 rims

Alright I have my 98 camaro with the 5 star chrome wheels right now with khumo tires and sitting in my garage are 4 35th anniversary camaro SS wheels not the chrome with goodyear eagles F1. My dilemma is I saw a nice set of C6 rims aluminum pretty sure but they shine like chrome, they are original 19x10 for rear and 18x8.5 front really want to pick them up but I'm wondering ARE THEY GONNA SCRAPE LIKE A ************ OR WHAT?? What would I have to do to not make them scrape?? Size of tires also?? if I pick these up I'll sell the 35th anniversary ones with the barely used F1 9/32 out of 10/32 brand new.
thanks for the help

I really like the look of the poished/black SS wheels. If I had a camaro I'd def have them on there. I think there is a red 02 SS on here that had the rears widened on his and it looks baaaad. So I say keep the SS wheels and use the funds from the stock wheels to get them widened.

what's BFH?

what's are the specs for the stock C6 (non-Z06) rims? you're not getting any rubbing problems right?

BFH... Big Fuggin' Hammer

From what I understand, the factory 19s don't work on our cars because of the offset, the the 18s will.

The factory 19s will work with a big spcaer/adapter. (like 1.25") and probably some BFH.
I say go with the SS wheels. possibly get them widened a tad like someone else said.

unless its absolutely imperative that you keep the ss stock look but need wider wheels i wouldnt even think about the widening route. if i remember correctly, i believe it was something in the neighborhood of 200 per wheel to get your wheels widened. if you like the ss's keep them stock size and toss the $400 towards something else you want.

personally.. id sell the ss's and buy a set of C6's. They look too sexy to pass up. Just my two cents.

Good luck with your decision at any rate. Im sure your car will look good whichever route you go. And remember... its what you like.. not what impresses everyone else.

i believe that the stock c6 corvette rims have an offset of 79 mm (i could be off by a couple of millimeters) which causes some serious rubbing!!! what you need is somewhere from a 50 mm offset to a 56 mm offset to make the tires not rub under normal driving. if you take a hard *** turn at 40 - anything higher you will probably rub but not very badly. or you can go with the 56 mm offset (like my 19x10's) and use the bfh method just a little on the inside wheel well and there will be no rubbing at all. i still have to use that method because i have been too lazy to bash in my wheel wells. im sure they wont rub if you just get the right offset.

I have a set of polished C6's on my car. I used a 1.25" spacer for the rear wheels. Payed about $60 +- a few $'s. I've had them for a few months now and no problems so far. If you want I can email you some pics.
