Default Can you confirm this spacer question?

Car=2002 SS

Is it true that the largest spacer you can use without changing the wheel bolts is a 1/2" spacer? If not, what is the largest one you can use?

This is for the FRONT wheels...not the back. I did a search on this and it never said if it was for the front or the back.

Thanks!!!

I read that even with a 5/16 spacer in front the amount of thread from the lug onto the stud is marginal and longer studs are recommended. But I havent done it yet. Hope someone with first hand knowledge jumps in.

Hell no! 1/4" is the largest. I did run 5/16" for a while but there was very little for the lug to bite to.
