19" wheels w/ lowering- --- Opinions/thoughts?
Just ordered some Ruff Racing 279s in chrome 19" for my 01 SS....car isn't lowered at all now since I just picked it up yesterday
Rears are 19x9.5 +45 offset Tires: 275/30-19
Fronts are 19x8.5 +35 offset Tires: 245/35-19
Messing around w/ the tire calculator the overall height of the new tires on 19" wheels are VERY close. They are actually shorter overall than the stock 275/40-17s that I currently am running.
Now my question: How low can I go w/ springs on this setup? Since it is roughly the same height or slightly lower than stock--could I run a 1.5" drop or should I stick with the prokit? Any ideas/pictures would be great!!

sportlines would be way too low comfort wise...BUT would look insanely nice. I had sportlines on my 17" wheels big tire out back, then went to hotchkis 1" springs, the car rides so much better and just feels awesome now. I also have 19" staggered wheels but they are AZA Z-1 wheels in black...255/35 front and 285/35 rear, doesnt rub at all whatsoever or do anything weird on the street with the 1" drop and the big wheels. Good luck hope this helps
