Default Tire/Wheel plans. (purchased now) edit.

Here is ride:

Planning on running 17x9.5 wheels on all four corners.

Here's my dilemma: I am "balling on a budget"

I have funding, but I want to put very little into mods and focus more on money for school. (this will not last, I promise)

I'm looking for wheels/tires ASAP (Nylon showing on RF tire from toe wear)

Right now, Black ZR1 wheels have my mind from tomz, because I think they'll look alright (I want gunmetal...)

Mostly: these are cheap quality wheels, correct?

I've heard a lot of good things about Kuhmo tires for 275s. Is there a better value tire? My roommate runs Falkens.

I'm looking to spend <120$ a tire

What is the best performance for the buck.

(mostly street driving, occasional ventures into the autoX and drag strip (1/8th mile)

And are there better wheels?

I wouldn't call the wheels "cheap" . . . inexpensive is better. Cheap just sounds like degrading the quality . . .

Black or gun metal ZR-1's will look fine on your car.

Kuhmos, Fusions, and Sumito (sp) are some decent entry tires.

Affordable is a better word, yes.

And I like the y2k vette wheels, but I want to avoid chrome. (I dislike chrome shiny)

i voted polished zr1, i love how they look, but they are tough to keep clean.

i think chrome and black rims are easyer to keep clean, and black rims dont show brake dust as much probly another reason why people like them.

I would go with Chrome. imho I think black would not look good with NBM. that is what your car color is, right? tires, I think would go with Kuhmos/sumitos.
