Default Budget 18" tires?

I found a place with the Kumho Ecsta MX's still in stock. I like their reviews and the tread pattern is appealing to me. But I was wondering what other tire would be in their class? The Kumho's will cost 780 with shipping for (2) 245/40/18 and (2) 275/35/18. My rims are 8" wide front, and 9" wide back, so those are the biggest sizes I can put on each width. Who else has a quality budget tire in this size?

Check out the Dunlop Direzza dz101 and the Toyo T1-R or for even cheaper the Sumitomo HTR Z II. Only way to get cheaper than those is to go with a generic brand

I bought some wheels that had Kuhmos on them. They had those annoying little lines on the sidewall, that kept them from polishing up very well. Dang lines would collect the tire dressing and sling it down the side of the car when it was rolling. Traction wasn't bad on them though. Sumitomos are cheaper and look nicer. Personally, I think Nitto tires are the best bang for the buck. They last quite a while, ride quiet, work well in the rain, and look nice.
