Default rear studs

wasent sure if this should go in here or in the suspension and brakes section, but i figured i try here first. Ok, i have a stripped stud on my left rear side, and need to replace it. Now ive done the fronts before and all u really need is a rubber mallet for those, but the rears seem to have a bit more work to them, my question is do i have to take out the whole rear axle to do the job? What is really involvd, i here its a bitch, but i have to change em as im on MT ET Streets right now and its gonna rain sunday so i need to do this tommorow.

i changed mine with the axle out but when i did my 9" i had forgot them and had to do it with the axle in. not sure if the 10 bolt will be different, i assume easier. as long as you have enough room to push the stud out you can pull it through.
