Here's the deal:

I have a set of four tires I just bought over a month ago I want to use. I plan on buying rims but the fronts are 17X9 and the rears are 17X10.5.....

WIll these tires fit those rim sizes and look ok?......

worst case I use the tires for the front and get some DR's for the rear (315/35/17's )

They'll fit on the 17/9" but not on the 10.5"s. You would normally put 295-315s on a 10.5" wheel.

they will go on there but wont look right. keep in mind the zr1 corvettes with the wide rims out back didnt have 315's they used a skinnier tire

Stock size on a ZR-1 was 315 in the rear. They had 11" wide wheels and needed the wider tires.

I have some 275 GSD3s on my 17x10.5s in the front of my car and they not only fit, but they sit flush with the rim and dont look bad at all. It all depends on the brand of the tire. if your going to get some cheap falkens or something like that then they wont look right (trust me I made this mistake), but if you get some Goodyears or some BFGs then you should be fine.
