Default matching tires?

Here is the deal. I just bought a car and it has brand new Potenza G009 front tires and completely bold rears.

I was thinking about buying the same Potenzas for the back to match. it'll be easier to rotate them later. They are not great, but will do the job for highway driving.

Or should I go ahead and buy something better is it gonna make a difference?

Having the same is better for rotating, as you say. But if you like something else better, get it. I run mixed tire combos (2&2) all the time.

That's what I'm trying to figure out.
Is this 2X2 combo gonna give troubles later?
like uneven wear, rotation etc?
Share some of your experience please.

Well, it's not as practical because you can only rotate front to rear ... and you can't do that if the rears are a bigger size. The fronts are going to wear more out the outside due to cornering ... rears are going to take the punishment if you do burnouts and that kind of thing.

I've run soft sidewall "touring" tires on the front to lessen impact harshness and drag radials on the rear ... that's what's most common - guys use a stickier tire in the rear attempting to gain traction. I don't like really stiff sidewalls in front, but they're ok in the rear. So I've played with different combos depending on the season and what I'm going after. I have the 245 BFG g-force Sport all-seasons on the car now, but this spring I'll put 255 g-force Sport summer tires on the rear for better grip.

Obviously, it's simplest and cheapest just to use the same tire on all four.
