Default A question About wheel adapters

Hi, I bought some nice looking Miglia mille 1000 rims from a friend for a very reasonable price. We both thought that perhaps they would fit my car, they didn't. So I've been trying to sell them, no bites. Now I'm looking for a way to mount them to my firebird. I've seen wheel adapters on Ebay and the like, claiming they can change the lug pattern allowing these to fit my car. My Question is: if I do buy the adapters will there be any negative side effects, like wheel hop, slower acceleration, anything adverse to street racing? please help I would like to put these on my car (they are very sharp looking rims) but I am not willing to sacrifice performance for style! Thanks

I got a set for the rear to push my 17x9's out but changing bolt patterns would do the same. No adverse effects from what I can tell (was done like 6-9 months ago). Everything still drives like normal except for now the tire rarely hits RR fender till I get a chance to roll the lip.

Good thing about adapters is if you use them and don't like the outcome it's super easy to undo.

I ran just under 2" adaptors on my 3rd gen. Used 4th gen wheels. No problems, nothing weird. Just make sure its all tight.
