Default How stupid does this sound?

OK, I am lookin at a set of Z06 wheels for sale locally, but I'd also like to have a set of wheels for the strip. Well I don't feel like buying 2 sets. How about I put slicks on my stockers and go buy a spare tire from a junkyard, get mine out from my pile of extra junk and stick some skinnies on em (the'ye only good to 60mph or so with the spare tire on em)? I really don't care how it looks, I just want that magic number on the board. So toss out your opinions guys.

I was thinkin of gettin a set of MT skinnies to replace the actual spare tire, sorry, I forgot to mention that, yeah running that fast on a spare wouldn't be the greatest idea.

mustang guys do it all the time on the 8th mile with stock tires and i seen a few LS1s do it...... they say 60 but will be fine to get a few ETs on the board..... i wouldnt recomend as a permanant thing though...... another thing is 2 weld 3.5 wheel are very cheap and even cheaper used...... something to keep in mind cause you are still gonna have to track a spare tire down in junk yards and pay for it so its not like you arent gonna have to go through trouble either way

I have two spares and I thought of this, I think you'd be fine as long as it stayed straight but I'd worry if it got squirrely.
